Porch Sale Post Mortem

My sister, Erin, made this sign for the porch. She's so damn crafty.

Sign

Souvenir state plates and nursery planters...

Office

After the sale, I rolled this bar cart right into the kitchen and started drinking.

Bar

Don't you love these picnic baskets? We sold the big one and the small one. The medium one is really lonely and depressed and will begin intensive psychotherapy on Monday.

Dollhouse

All in all, the sale was a success. The customers ran the gamut...from people who just drove by and didn't even stop (insane people, obviously!) to people who said that it was the best sale they'd ever been to. I had hoped that we'd have more visitors, but I think we need to have a few more sales in order to get the word out. We're also thinking about getting a space at Renninger's Antiques Market in September.

And I'm just going to decorate my house with all the stuff that didn't sell!

Porch Sale Preview

My porch sale is on Saturday, and I'm starting to think about how I'm going to group all of my stuff into little vignettes. I already know that I will have a large area dedicated exclusively to bar paraphernalia because I love booze and anything that you can serve it in. In fact, my sister Erin is going to make a big fat pitcher of mimosas for the porch sale. We are going to save them for my neighbors and any extra-special customers that come our way. And, of course, anyone who mentions my blog.

Enough about booze...here are a few of the vintage finds that will go in the craft/sewing/scrapbooking area:

Studio

It is amazing what a little bit of scrapbooking paper can do. I cut out a few rectangles and slipped them into the slots on the drawer unit and the letter organizer:

The drawers used to hold slides of plants and flowers from Longwood Gardens, but they would be great for ribbon, thread or any kind of small crafty embellishments.

In my Barn Sale post, Sarah asked to see what was in the box on the rolling cart.  I didn't want to disappoint, so here you go, Sarah...

My front porch & garage will be overflowing with the vintage finds that I've been sharing with you for the last few months, and so many more!  Are there any readers in the Philadelphia area that are interested in coming? Let me know!
