If you been following my hints on Facebook during the last month, you may have surmised that a freshvintage shop was in the works. Well, you are right!
My husband, Chris, and I are opening a real live brick-and-mortar freshvintage shop! It is located at Highland Orchards in West Chester, PA. Highland Orchards is a family-run produce market, bakery and pick-your-own farm. Families drive from miles around to visit the orchard for their 200 acres of cherries, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pumpkins, apples and much more. But, they are probably best known for the unbelievable apple cider donuts!
Fresh vintage and fresh produce - can it get any better?
The space we are renting was formerly a gift shop, and when the previous owner retired after 14 years, we quickly snatched it up as soon as we saw the listing. We've been working for weeks to get the shop in shape for our grand opening on March 10th. You are welcome to stop by before then - we'll be open on weekends, starting this Saturday, February 25th.
Here's Chris in the big window (and our friend Rich, actually doing the work).
I'll be taking more pics in the coming weeks, so you can get a better look. But here's a peek:
This is a big step for us (especially Chris, since I am keeping my day job), and we are so excited to finally announce it to you. I know that many of you aren't in the Philadelphia area, so I will try to keep you far-away folks updated with lots of photos.
Stay tuned for more details about our grand opening on March 10th!
P.S. Yes, we still have our space at Brandywine View Antiques, so be sure to stop by there, too.

WOW. Congrats!! So excited for you and just a little sad that I live about a billion miles away. Wishing you much, much success!
Is Rich available to hire out?

LIBRARY CARD CATALOG. Oh my gosh, how much?!? I mean, oh, huh, I see you have a dusty old library card catalog. I'm sure you want to get rid of it since it's just taking up tons of space. So... how much for me to take it off your hands?
Congrats on the shop, by the way! I will be sure to stop by soon.

Sweet. Wonder if I can finagle a book signing in the vicinity when I tour for Spring Fever in June. Always scheming...

Hope this comment isn't a duplicate, cuz I wrote last night, but it's nowhere to be found.
This is exciting news Colleen! A real dream come true. There's a place like that in my neck of the woods, in Scholls, Oregon. A u-pick farm with produce, plant nursery, garden decor, and an ab-fab gift shop inside a red barn. The gift shop includes candles, soaps, kitchen & bath accessories, local honey/preserves, vintage treasures, and baked goodies/coffee/tea. A really fun place to visit in a pastoral setting. Too bad you're on the other end of the U.S. of A....:(
P.S. Love that you used my favorite wall color!

Congratulations Colleen! I'm so excited for you, and so proud of you! If your shop has a scosh of the joie de vivre you have in your blog, (and I know it will) it will be a big success. You go girl!!

UNBELIEVEABLY EXCITED FOR THIS.. I love vintage, and I'm a vegan cook so produce is pretty important too... seriously, this is like Mecca... I also have a project I'm working on and this is absolutely PERFECT for it. I will have to get in touch. Oh my gosh. Good luck and see you soon.

How much fun! My school goes to Highland Orchards every fall but I'll have to make a trip on my own sooner than that.. (and we don't let anyone shop on our trip!) Congratulations and Enjoy selling!

LOL! Thank you for your humor! If there's anything I love more then vintage goods it's laughing. Soooo your mixture of the two means I'm a huge fan! My daughter lives in Lansdowne, PA and I'm paying her a visit next month, so I'm excited to visit your shop!
