I hope all of you in the U.S. are enjoying the long weekend.
We are celebrating Maeve's 7th birthday with a sleepover and my attempt at the cheesiest patriotic birthday cake ever made...
Making blueberry-filled ice balls for our neighbors' patio party, with berries straight from my brother-in-law's family farm...
Remember my Christmastime cranberry & mint ice balls? I used the same molds.
(By the way, "blueberry-filled ice balls" take too long to say. Let's call them Blue Balls.)
And, we hit a yard sale or two this morning. We scored an oh-so-apropos 48-star flag. But, our favorite find is the metal "No Grab-Ass Around The POOL" sign.
It makes me want to build a pool, just so I can hang the sign. Come to think of it, our neighbor mentioned that she's going to have a kiddie pool at the patio party - I hope she doesn't mind if I bring this sign.

your sign and flag are the perfect finds for this week. I found a 48 star flag a few years ago. Nothing exciting for me this week except a few clothes for the grands.....and a shirt for the princess scarecrow!

so the other night I had nothing to do.. did I just say that? Ok so I don't know how THAT happened but I guess it did. Anyway, I decided to search my company name on the internet. One of the first things I found on a website about my business- was an awesome blog entry by you about things you found at our shop. My shop is Goodeals in Stanton, DE. I read a little on your blog, it was interesting and fun to look at your finds (especially your finds from my shop!) :) Tonight I checked out your facebook page and your newest entries on your blog and those were interesting and a little dirty - I LOVED it! It was your entry about your awesome car sign- do not hump the car (I need one too- everyone loves my minivan :) and your butt sticks.- It was nice to see someone elses kid who is growing up with things like that too! My kids are veteran yardsalers and know what things are like record players and dial phones and swizzle sticks (although we never found any as cool as the butt ones!) Anyway, thought I would say hi, this is probably too long, I don't know how to write short facebook posts and usually have to copy and paste it and find a new way to send it. Goodeals is still open and still has great finds at huge discounts- including free :) so stop in some time when you're in the area. I am glad I found your blog and will be reading it now! You are a great writer!
