After seven years of listening to my in-laws talk about the Clayson Farms Antique Show,
I finally get to join them there! I can safely say good-bye to the jealous pangs that I get every August.
The Clayson Farms Antique Show is on August 14th from 9am to 4pm in Yakima, WA. Are you going?? You totally should.
I've seen photos of past shows, and it looks like the vendors (including my in-laws) have all of my favorite styles of antiques: chippy, industrial, primitive, country, vintage, cottage, Americana.
Here's a peek into my in-laws' booth from last year:
(How freakin' cute is that miniature green & red porch swing on the left side of the photo?!)
AND, if you live on the other side of the mountains (Snohomish, Everett, Seattle, etc.) and you don't feel like driving all the way to Yakima, then you really should just take the bus. The Come Junk With Us bus! I kind of wish that I could take the bus to the sale, but it would be a little out of my way. Right now, they are offering a two-for-one sale: when you buy your ticket, a friend can ride for free.
I think it is a great deal - you can chill out on the bus, chat with new friends, have someone else pack your vintage finds into the bus, eat a delicious lunch and then take a little nap on the way home. You certainly couldn't nap if you drove yourself home. That would just be stupid.
Your ticket also includes a fabulous swag bag and door prizes on the bus. One of those prizes is from my very own library of vintage books. Hmmmm....I wonder what it will be??
Here are some of the other vendors who will be selling at Clayson Farm. I know that most of my readers won't make it to the show, but I am sure you will enjoy visiting their blogs & websites.
- Kim from Flutterby
- Joy from Antie Joy
- Sue from Bella Shabby
- Janet Sears with the Second Saturdayz market
- Julie from Kindred Roses
- Lisa from The Country Chicken
- Karen from Purple Cow Antiques
- Pam from Bugaboo Vintage Design
Please leave a comment if you are planning to go to the show. I'm not sure where Jim & Mary's (my in-laws) spaces are yet, but hopefully you can find us. And one more thing...my husband and brother-in-law kindly ask that you please buy everything in the booth so that they don't have to carry anything back to the truck. Thank you very much.

Wow!! Thanks so much Colleen for the plug!!! Can't wait to finally meet you! Travel safe!

Hey Colleen,
So excited to hear you are going to be coming to the show. I think that is just the excuse I need to drive up from Portland. My good buddies, Sue from Bella Shabby, Joy of Auntie Joy's and Julie from Kindred Roses are another reason I should come up. Can't wait to meet you!

The doll that is armless in your blog is similar to one that I have. I got the doll when I was 2 years old and I am 50. Mine is all in one piece. Some of her eye lashes are missing and she has holes in the heels of her feet where I tried to make her walk! Priceless to me. My Dad got her for me and he died in 1991. I would love to take a pic and send it to you!

Colleen,
It will be great to see you again!
So if the in-laws don't have anything left to haul, does that mean hubby and brother-in-law will help us poor, pitiful, meek and mild vendors with our hauling? (HA!)
See you soon.
