Adamstown Vintage Finds
Introducing my Adamstown booty...
A tin globe for my already-too-big collection. I like this one because it has the zodiac signs, the seasons and a faux bois finish.
Santa and snowman cupcake picks:
A boxful of vintage Christmas tags and Scotch Gift Wrap tape:
I found this L & M Adjustable Dress Form By Acme (without a stand) for $9.75! Yes, her boobs are a little wonky. And she looks like she just survived a car bomb. But she is all mine and I love her like someone would love a weird aunt who smells.
Three old kitchen jars with green lids:
Do you know what this is?
An old drying rack. Sue had to demonstrate for me, because I couldn't figure out how to get the dowels to stick out.
I'll use this old tub as a drink cooler for parties on the deck. I'm thinking about throwing a Columbus Day party, just so I can use it. Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria in the hizouse!
I also bought this metal milk crate for the same reason. I'll fill it with white wine bottles and my forties and then dump ice on top. Cute, huh?
Sue gave me a bottle of Skyy Infusions Raspberry Vodka as a junking gift (it is even better than the now-defunct Skyy Berry). She antiques with me all day, and gives me booze. A better blogging friend would be hard to find.
In case you plan to take a trip to Adamstown, here are the places we visited. There are so many more shops that we didn't get to. If you are driving a distance, there are definitely enough shops and markets to fill a few days.

Just found your blog and can't wait to visit the past posts to see what I missed. Love all your finds. The drying rack has been a favorite of mine for years...have yet to find one in CA, but will keep looking.

I'm going to make a one piece slipcover for the whole thing one of these days :-P It is on my blog if you want to take a peek at it--> http://cheryl-comfort.blogspot.com/2008/08/sewing-form.html ~Cheryl

Hey Colleen -
Tell the truth - your kids are scared of that dress form, aren't they? I think I am. Well, "the heart has its reasons that reason knows not of", as Woody Allen or Voltaire or someone once said. Good luck with your Columbus Day Party - you certainly look poised to avoid all those Columbus Day party cliches. That same day is Canadian Thanksgiving, in case you want to work that in.

Great finds (as usual). I have a similar drying rack but mine is on a wooden tripod like stand. Love to use it in displays for shows. I also just want to dig right into that box of Christmas!

It almost pains me to see all your amazing scores. You really have a great eye. And I have been on the lookout for a drying rack but I have NEVER seen one that cool. It has a midcentury look to it.
Shaking my head, just shaking my head!

We just came back from Adamstown too. They have the best antique malls. And Rennigers outdoor flea market was awesome. I picked up some great things as you did. Another fabulous place to go to is the Craft and Flower Store. It is in Blueball and you can spend hours in it. They have tons of decorating gifts and craft supplies. I have never seen so many silk flowers anywhere. The prices are really great too.

I just found a vintage dress form this weekend at a garage sale and was stoked! I understand your excitement. I overhauled her with new fabric and a paint job. She badly needed it...
