Adamstown Sneak Peek
I'm sorry that the moblogging didn't go as planned. Damn that Blackberry! It wasn't until I was on my way home that my Weed post went from "Pending" to "Sent".
And to answer the question that YardSaleMama asked in the comments section: yes, the sign was real. Sue and I saw the sign and started giggling and elbowing each other. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up. I whipped out my phone to take a picture. That's when we noticed that the dealer was sitting in his car. There were a bunch of shoppers milling around his space, and he was just sitting there. He leaned out the window and yelled, "Let me know if you have any questions". You know he must have been in bad shape if he couldn't even get out of the damn car. And he was perfectly fine with me taking a picture of his sign (I asked him before I took it). Maybe he thought that the publicity would get him a little closer to finding someone who was actually willing to trade weed for junk.
You can see a sneak peek of some of my Adamstown finds on the right. Sue gave a sneak peek on her blog, too. We had a great time shopping and exchanging ideas about blogging, selling and collecting. I'm looking forward to our next excursion. Hopefully, it will be in Warrenton, TX in April 2009! (Or sooner.)
Stay tuned for an in-depth post with photos of everything I bought...

Love the sneak peek and I want to see more!

Colleen didn't mention that we saw the "will trade for weed" sign at 8 a.m.!!! We were beside ourselves giggling. Not to mention that not a thing he had would've merited swapping any contraband I might've had on me (as if). Or worth getting instantly BUSTED.
Col, it was a blast, and my head's a-spinning with ideas. Thanks for talking me into many of my purchases! XOX

Are we certain it's just weed he's hooked on? That definitely trumps the sign I saw the other day that said "Pot Sale". Unfortunately, I couldn't get my camera phone out fast enough to take a picture before the light turned green!

Well, you know that antique shoppers can be "junkies". That is why he was hoping to find some drugs.
