What the Hell Is It?
It's been a while since we've played this game (way back in August). Ready for round two?
I found this metal thing at Goodeals yesterday. It is almost three feet long, and about 17 inches high. It is made of thin metal pieces with a scrollwork design, and it's pretty lightweight.
So, what the hell is it?
In case you are wondering, I have no idea what the hell it is. I have a few ideas, though.
PS: When I bought the "what-the-hell-is-it", I also snagged this downright adorable child's desk:

It looks like a fireplace grate to me.

What ever it is it's cool!! I think fireplace screen too. If not originally, it would make a great one now! xo, suzy

Gotta' go with fireplace screen as well.
I can imagine many pretty uses for it but I think it would look best in front of a fireplace.
Or maybe a short fairy trellis? ;-)

Yep - definitely a fireguard to stop toddlers getting near the fire. The type of thing you see people drying their wet socks over in old films! It's lovely.

My guess is a fireplace cover thingy and placed like pic one. That was my first instinct and I'm going with it.....just a guess though.

I think it's a decorative fence to go around a window well. :)

I'm voting with everyone else ... my first thought was a fireplace screen. You always have the best luck!

my guess would be a fireplace screen!

It's either a fireplace screen, or something to keep children at bay or animals at bay.
Whatever it is I like it.

My first guess would be a fire escape or small balcony railing. Second guess would be a fireplace screen, but for one of the large walk-in sized ones.

i think its fence for a small room balcony.

The top of an arbour - looks too lightweight for a fireplace surround to me. Rusty scroll-y goodness whatever it may be!

No idea what the hell that is, but I loooove that desk!

I'm thinking fireplace screen...or something you'd put around a basement window.

Yep, a fireplace screen! :D

I agree with Jen - Top of a decorative arbour - for growing light weight plants over - it must be missing it's legs!
What a lovely desk. And you've made a great job of the vanity table.

Hi there,
I really love your page. I am a friend of Chris from grades K-12. He sent me the link to your page. We live in Italy with the Air Force and I think you would LOVE the markets over here. Lots of good finds. I REALLY love that blue desk. I could use it for my son's room!! Very nice! I also really love your kitchen!! I looked at past months and found the pics. You are very talented!! Can you be hired to decorate??? Someday when we grow up and buy a house in the States I would love to have your help!! For now, I will settle for getting ideas from your page. Ciao for now...
