SORRY! The giveaway is over. Click here to see the winners.
I guess you are wondering...why a giveaway?
No. I'm only up to 87. I am so much lazier than all the other bloggers.
Is it my birthday?
No. That's in November. And, duh, you're supposed to send me stuff for my birthday.
So...what is it?
I am celebrating the fact that I met a reader of my blog completely out of the blue!
I was having a conversation about eBay with a complete stranger in an antiques mall in Newark, DE last week. We were talking about all of the vintage greeting cards I was buying. I mentioned that I sold a scrapbook filled with greeting cards for $150 a few months ago. She said, "Is your name Colleen?". What?! Her name is Ava and she reads my blog. Hi Ava! This giveaway is in your honor. If I hadn't met you, none of these fine people would have this opportunity of a lifetime to win millions of dollars worth of fabulous prizes.
OK - maybe not millions.
But...how about a really cute tin recipe box?

And here's the inside...
But I can't give you an empty recipe box. That would be so rude.
So, here it is, filled with vintage goodies...
There's lots of neat stuff for knitters, crafters, scrapbookers, cooks and collectors...
Birthday candle holders and a mini tart tin...
A vintage baby knitting magazine, a mini-coloring book from the 1950's, a cake recipe booklet and a few receipts from the 1880's...
Oh, and here's a little autograph book from the 1930's...
Each page has a different poem...
Mrs. Seeds likes to sew. She bought cashmere for $7.50 in 1881...
And a few yards of muslin in 1882...
How do you win all of these vintage goodies? Well, I'll make it easy for you. Leave a comment. Any comment is fine. Lurkers are more than welcome. I usually make you work for my giveaways, but I'll let you off easy for this one. Especially since today marked the beginning of the school year in these parts. The first day is always the easiest one. I'll also pick two more names for second and third place prizes.
Here's an extra special twist...if you have a blog or website and you mention my giveaway on it, I will give you TWO extra chances to win. Just drop me an email if you mention my giveaway: colleen (at) freshvintagestyle (dot) com.
The giveaway ends on Sunday, September 9th, so leave a comment now!

I love seeing what you find at yardsales. I found your blog from another blog that I read, Donna Downey.

I really enjoy stopping by to read your blog. I'm new to the vintage side of things. My husband and I enjoy going to garage sales, but now they take on a whole new meaning. I'm always scanning the newspapers/internet for sales, auctions, etc. This is fun!

Hey, I'm such a slacker that an easy giveaway is the best.
Love your blog, your witty and sometimes sarcastic ways and all the lovely goodies you find!

I've been lurking for awhile! Can I use your fresh vintage logo to advertise the giveaway on my blog?

Your site is so cool! I felt like kicking myself thought when I read about the card scrapbook. I bought a similar one at an estate sale years ago, I don't even know why. When I moved to a new house I donated it to Goodwill because I couldn't bear the thought of throwing it away but couldn't keep it either.

I found your blog through the shopkim blog and I love it. Such cool findings and altered stuff. I am jealous of your Santa head find (my parents collect all things Santa). Wish it was possible to find such cool things where I live. But if I do they cost a fortune as vintage has become the craze of the last few years. A vintage dress from the 70s easily costs a 100 dollars.. Furniture costs even more.
