Saturday was a great day for yard-saling! Here's some of what I bought...
Seven vintage aprons. The pink one is brand new and reversible, and the Christmas one on the right has jingle bells on it.
It was a Pyrex-filled morning. Check out that white bowl with the orange polka dots - that is relatively rare. The pattern is called "New Dots", and it is the smallest bowl in a four-piece set of nesting bowls, which included blue, green and yellow polka-dot bowls. Of course, I did not know this when I bought it. I just looked it up on Pyrex Love. And isn't that 1948 Sunbeam Mixmaster cool? It came with the juicer attachment, too. This website has more than you ever wanted to know about mixers.
A VERY red three-piece set of Lady Baltimore luggage. We are headed to Washington state on Saturday to visit Chris' family. Do you think I should use this set? I think Chris would abandon the luggage and me in the airport if I brought it along. But it would definitely be easy to spot on the baggage carousel.
And my favorite find of the morning...1968 Fisher Price barn & silo, complete with animals. I think it is only missing the fence.

If I had been at that yard sale I would've bought everything you did! Those Fisher Price toys are the cutest. And, wow on the polka dot bowl - I know everyone wants them on eBay. BTW, I am a polka dot fan & if you are too, then you want to get to Target for their summer seasonal stuff...I got some polka dot melamine plates & bowls that would be perfect for birthday parties instead of paper plates.
I also found me a aqua & white pyrex bowl at Goodwill the other day - I was happy about that. It had some baked on black stuff, I scrubbed it but it wasn't coming off until I used my fingernail. I have yet to hit a yard sale with anything older than 20 yrs.
p.s. I just noticed your books listed on the sidebar & I had just checked out Amy Sedaris' book - she doesn't skip anything, even personal hygiene. lol.

The aprons are so cha cha!
You find the best stuff.
Would you come yardsaling with me? LOL

I am freaking out excited for you!!! I would have bought everthing! The 'new dot' Pyrex was a find for sure! And the farm set was a favorite with my kids and I soooo wished I still had it for my future grand kids! And how much do we all love vintage aprons! I have been collecting Pyrex for over 25 years and thrilled that others are collecting too!

Shut up! Is that luggage red? I'd throw myself in front of a train if I thought I'd live through it enough to snatch those gorgeous bags and run! I'm so jealous.

I love the FP barn and look at all the pieces. I love all the old FP toys. Love the red luggage, too. My Mom has a red suitcase. It's not as old as that one, though.

Wow! I had that Fisher Price Barn set and I had completely forgotten about it! Great stuff!

My Mum had that exact mixer when I was growing up, which was the '70s so it must have been pretty old then. Just seeing it has brought back lovely memories of the cakes and goodies she used to bake for us, Traffic Light biscuits, Crisp and Hearty, lovely light sponge cakes......ah nostalgia!

Ahhhh!! Too much "good stuff" as me and Aaron like to say when we find a great booth at the antique center!!
Loving the aprons!! AHH!! And the mixer!!! And the FP farm! Oh boy!! I used to chew the farmers hat, and I stored pennies in the silo!! LOVE it!!

Are you selling the vintage Lady Baltimore luggage set? I was given a piece each year for Christmas as a child from my mother (who passed away when I was 14). I only have one piece left and was trying to replace the others. Thanks.

I too was given a piece of Lady Baltimore luggage each year of highschool, I only have the overnight bag left. Yesterday I found 2 of the suitcases & was thrilled, My color was white & my husband is cleaning it as we speak!!
Keep looking - there are several sites (thru) Google where you can buy it. I paid $15.0 for 2 pieces at a yardsale.
