Porch Sale Post Mortem
My sister, Erin, made this sign for the porch. She's so damn crafty.
Souvenir state plates and nursery planters...
After the sale, I rolled this bar cart right into the kitchen and started drinking.
Don't you love these picnic baskets? We sold the big one and the small one. The medium one is really lonely and depressed and will begin intensive psychotherapy on Monday.
All in all, the sale was a success. The customers ran the gamut...from people who just drove by and didn't even stop (insane people, obviously!) to people who said that it was the best sale they'd ever been to. I had hoped that we'd have more visitors, but I think we need to have a few more sales in order to get the word out. We're also thinking about getting a space at Renninger's Antiques Market in September.
And I'm just going to decorate my house with all the stuff that didn't sell!

So glad to hear that your sale went well - I was a seller at my first market this past Sunday... glad that I don't live near you - I would have brought home more than I sold!

If only I didn't live on the otherside of the world - I would have been there and done serious damage to my budget - it looks great!

You're so funny - I felt like drinking after our last garage sale. Never gonna have another!
Your sister's sign is so cool - did anyone ask to buy it? What a fab porch & your view looks divine. sigh. :)

looks like the porch sale was a success...you had some great stuff. Our yard sale went well also...the less you have to schlep back in the house the better!

Congrats on your sale's success. I'm sure if you do them every so often, you'll build a customer base that will start to look forward to them. I know I would!

I just absolutely love that sign! I am so sad that I love diagonally across the nation from you and can not make it to any of your sales. The place in which you live looks beautiful!

That is the nicest yard sale I've ever seen. The way you set up the items, the sign - I would have stopped in a heartbeat ( I probably would have moved in too).
