Porch Sale Post Mortem

My sister, Erin, made this sign for the porch. She's so damn crafty.

Sign

Souvenir state plates and nursery planters...

Plates

Office

After the sale, I rolled this bar cart right into the kitchen and started drinking.

Bar

Don't you love these picnic baskets? We sold the big one and the small one. The medium one is really lonely and depressed and will begin intensive psychotherapy on Monday.

Dollhouse

All in all, the sale was a success. The customers ran the gamut...from people who just drove by and didn't even stop (insane people, obviously!) to people who said that it was the best sale they'd ever been to. I had hoped that we'd have more visitors, but I think we need to have a few more sales in order to get the word out. We're also thinking about getting a space at Renninger's Antiques Market in September.

And I'm just going to decorate my house with all the stuff that didn't sell!

So glad to hear that your sale went well - I was a seller at my first market this past Sunday... glad that I don't live near you - I would have brought home more than I sold!

Ohhh, we used to go to the Renningers sale in Mt Dora, and it was HUGE!

If I was around, I would have done some serious buyin'!!!

By the way, mix up one of those drinky-poos for me :)

If only I didn't live on the otherside of the world - I would have been there and done serious damage to my budget - it looks great!

Yeah, I totally wish I'd been there, that Texas souvineer plate is calling my name. I'd totally buy that in a heartbeat.

ps. and then throw some snax on it to go with the drinks.

*sigh* wish I could have been there!

You're so funny - I felt like drinking after our last garage sale. Never gonna have another!
Your sister's sign is so cool - did anyone ask to buy it? What a fab porch & your view looks divine. sigh. :)

Looks like a great sale...I would have loved to shop on your porch!

Oh woweeee! I can see why folks said this was the best sale ever! No doubt about that. So much good stuff! Thanks for sharing the photos :)

Gosh I wish I lived by you! That does look like the best sale ever!

I'd sure come if I lived anywhere near you. Looks like a fabulous sale.

hanks for sharing the great pictures...my porch Sale is coming up on June 9th and I think I'll use Erin's idea of showcasing things with my sign too!

looks like the porch sale was a success...you had some great stuff. Our yard sale went well also...the less you have to schlep back in the house the better!

Looks like an awesome sale! The sign is great.

Congrats on your sale's success. I'm sure if you do them every so often, you'll build a customer base that will start to look forward to them. I know I would!

Ahhhh tooo funnn!! Why so far away?? My goodness! You coulda caused some serious cases of whiplash!! Geez!!

Really fun stuff!!

Hope you have a super fun weekend!!

xoxo Jenny

I love your new sign. It looks perfect on the porch. People would have to be crazy to not stop at your sale!

Wish I could have been there!

I just absolutely love that sign! I am so sad that I love diagonally across the nation from you and can not make it to any of your sales. The place in which you live looks beautiful!

hey missy, if you still have the blue snack tray, consider it sold (to me). I can paypal you and pay for shipping if its still available!!

please e-mail me at Dedendwight@msn.com

That is the nicest yard sale I've ever seen. The way you set up the items, the sign - I would have stopped in a heartbeat ( I probably would have moved in too).
