A few months ago, I moved to a new home in Southern Chester County, PA (on the border of northern Delaware). I've been a yard sale addict ever since I could walk (thanks, mom!), so I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to find the same caliber of sales in this area that I had in my old neighborhood outside of Philadelphia. [You can read that to mean "I hope all the sellers are idiots who don't know how much their stuff is really worth". Is that mean?] Luckily, I've had quite a few scores in the past few months. I love that everyone around here sells just about everything for 50 cents. Here are some pictures from a recent sale that I went to. I paid a total of 15 dollars for everything in these pictures.

Set of four (!) lined, pinch-pleated curtains in yellow and white Philadelphia Toile fabric. A few years ago, I bought this same fabric in red & white on ebay. I emailed Waverly about buying more. I received a reply 2 months later that the fabric was only manufactured in 1976 to celebrate the US Bicentennial. And then I found this site about historic fabric. In addition to the 4 drapes, there are also 2 valances with fringe trim.
Unfortunately, the drapes don't fit any of my windows, so I'm trying to decide if I should cut them up and make bags and pillows for all my Philadelphia friends and family, or attempt to sell them on ebay. Decisions, decisions...

Oh my gosh! I do have a twin out there! This could have all been written about me and my adventures. What great creativity and ingenuity! I can't wait to see your updates!
